Message from the Principal
I am pleased to be able to welcome you to Livermore International School. I am the Executive Principal of LIS China. I have been in Educational Management for the past 19 years and I am proud to be able to bring that experience to LIS China. I have been a resident of China for the past 13 years and I have a passion for providing and developing integrated learning programs which combine the best of International Education with Chinese culture and expectations. I believe that education should be accessible to all students, regardless of learning background and experience. I am dedicated to providing programs that allow all students to succeed and take the first step into their future. Under my leadership, students have gained entry into Universities throughout the world. Not only into excellent universities in America but also into some of the top 5 Universities in the UK, Australia, Korea, Japan and Hong Kong.
Our schools are some of the best American High Schools in China and we value being able to provide an exceptional American Educational Experience to all. Our schools specialize in the delivery of the American Curriculum in a Chinese setting. We are proud to be able to offer a blended approach which combines online American Curriculum resources with more traditional teacher led lessons. Our courses run in parallel to those in our sister school of Livermore. All of our courses are aligned to the Common Core Curriculum in California and all courses are approved by universities in America. As well as academic programs, our schools run a variety of additional classes and activities. Our Community Service Program is important to both the philosophy and the day to day life of our school. Our Sports clubs and activities allow students to interact outside of the classroom, gaining a vast array of knowledge and experience within other areas, while our English Language program gives support to students in order to improve their English Language Skills.
Being part of our school does not stop outside of lessons. To be a student of LIS China is to be a member of our community. As part of that, we offer continual support to students within their school and dorm life. We also see our community role to continue after Graduation, where support and guidance is offered to our student’s in their future educational journey.
I hope to be able to meet you in person in the future and I would like to offer you every opportunity to ask any questions. You can contact us using the details in this booklet and we look forward to being able to answer any questions and to start your exciting journey in American Education.
